what we collect.
Phone number, first name, city, profile photos, voice intro, romance values, love language, attraction pacing, messages, date details, reflections, and push notification token. We collect only what is needed to run the product.
what we do not collect.
Last name, email, GPS location, contacts, social media accounts, browsing history, income, ethnicity, race, or religion.
selfie verification.
If you use selfie verification, your selfie and profile photo are temporarily compared by AWS Rekognition. Your selfie is not stored by Unmasque or AWS after the comparison. No facial geometry or biometric identifier is retained. Only the result (verified or not) is saved to your account.
who sees your data.
Your connection sees only what the product lifecycle permits — photos after mutual reveal, messages in your thread, date details. Reflections, match scores, and onboarding answers are never shared with your connection.
third parties we use.
Twilio (SMS delivery), AWS Rekognition (selfie comparison, temporary), Supabase (database and media storage), Expo / Apple / Google (push notifications). We do not use any advertising or analytics third parties.
we do not sell your data. ever.
Your data is used to run Unmasque and nothing else. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. Mobile numbers are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
sms.
We send one-time passcodes via SMS for login only. This is transactional — not marketing. Message frequency: one message per login attempt. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.
deleting your account.
Delete your account anytime from Settings. Your profile is removed immediately. All remaining personal data is purged within 30 days.
your rights.
You may request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate information, or delete your account at any time. California residents have additional rights under CCPA/CPRA. Contact us at privacy@unmasque.co.
age requirement.
Unmasque is for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 21. If we discover a user is under 21, we will immediately delete their account and all associated data.
